The GAS STOVE INSTALLATION is a relatively simple job that requires some basic tools and readily available supplies. If you use the right tools and follow the instructions carefully then you will install the gas stove yourself without facing any problem. CGS provides the best gas installation professional at your doorstep. Following are the steps involved in Gas Installation.

Step 1: Remove the range

First, you have to pull out the range and shut off the gas cock. When the lever is at a right angle to the pipe then the gas is off. You may locate this shutoff behind the range or in the basement just below. The main purpose of the shutoff is to stop the gas flow to the gas stove.

Step 2: Wrap the pipe threads

You have to wrap Teflon pipe joint tape twice around the threads in the same direction so that the screws fit well. For gas fittings, the yellow Teflon tape is more suitable than white because it is heavier. Use the correct size of the coupling that accumulates the end connector fitting readily.

Step 3: Screw the gas line connector

Then remove the end connector fitting and wrap the unleveled end with Teflon tape. Finally, screw it to the gas line. Always use both the male and female removable end fittings. Never screw the connector nuts on the ends of the tube or pipe. Doing so would provide guaranteed leak.

Step 4: Use the street elbow

Use the correct size street elbow i.e. male threads at one end and female at the other end into the range gas port. Always use the Teflon tape on each fitting in order to provide better grip for the connectors at both the ends. In addition, be careful not to over tighten or give over stress to the tape that will cause damage to the pipe or tube.

Step 5: Tighten the screws and connectors

Always tighten the connector nuts to the two ends of the connector fittings. While tightening the nuts you have to hold the tube straight against the fitting. Do not use Teflon tape on these threads and uses tape to interfere with this seal.

Step 6: Check for leakage

Finally, turn on the gas cock i.e. in the vertical position and light the range burners for about a minute to get the air out of the gas line. Then spray a soap solution to all the joints to find out the gas leak detector in the GAS STOVE INSTALLATION. The presence of bubbles indicates leakage points.
